Τον Μάιο 2016 το 5ο Δημοτικό σχολείο Ταύρου υποστήριξε το πρόγραμμα ΣΥΝ ΣΤΟ ΠΛΗΝ και συγκεκριμένα το Κέντρο Ημερησίας Υποδοχής Αστέγων, προσφέροντας 140 μερίδες φαγητού για τους ωφελούμενους του Κέντρου Ημέρας.
