The Hellenic Initiative (THI), a non-profit and non-religious foundation, was founded in 2012 by members of the global Greek and philhellene communities who were compelled to respond to the worsening economic crisis and inspired to help shape Greece’s long-term recovery. THI’s mission is to invest in the future of Greece through direct philanthropy and economic revitalization. In December 2013 THI financially supported 25 families enrolled in the program “ΣΥΝ ΣΤΟ ΠΛΗΝ” by covering all of their basic needs (food, rent and utilities) for a period of six months.
In addition to that, in May 2013 THI supported the Polyclinics by covering the expenses of a General Practitioner and a Dentist for a period of six months.
